Vicki Zimmerman - Painting My Way: New Year's Resolution 2013: Set up an art blog to exhibit my paintings. Painting for me is a joy! I begin a painting with the optimism that it will be my best ever. Often I want to express the beauty of nature or my interaction with a specific location. Other times, I paint to evoke the memory of a place or just for the pleasure of mixing marvelous colors or creating luscious brushstrokes. If my painting turns out not to be my "best ever", I still have learned. I will wake up the next day knowing that I will paint again and enter my studio with happy anticipation.
